Web19 Mar 2016 · Surface Pro won't boot from USB image made in RUFUS I used RUFUS to create the USB image that I downloaded from Microsoft. Also I cannot get WIN 10 to reinstall as it keeps needing to restart after failed reinstall. My other laptops have no problems reinstalling WIN 10. Any fix for this? Web13 Nov 2024 · Try using the Bolena Etcher util to create the bootable USB stick. That's what the Tails group apparently now recommends. It and Rufus both worked for me. I made sure my USB stick was formatted as FAT32 btw. And I used the latest Tails .img file, not the *.iso which didn't work immediately (might have been some other issue though).
